What is the first thing that strikes your mind when I say ‘Travel’ or ‘Vacation’-Photography. It’s no news that each place we visit has its own particular look, character, and ambiance.
While traveling can be exciting and adventurous, there is so much more to it. Everlasting memories that we would like to keep with us for life long. And if we want to cherish these moments, so our photography should be as live as to say as much about a place as give the literal look of it.
I personally feel that taking photographs while you travel is the most rewarding things you can do, and is today’s mobile world the task is even more easy. One’s who are literally interested in better pictures can always carry highly digitalised cameras with them but the high pixel mobile cameras makes your job even more simple.
Here are few reasons why you should pick up a camera, book your first flight and get started your vacation start with your creative photography.
Reason #1: You get to capture the most beautiful moments of your vacation
This reason might sound like an obvious one; but this is the time you are spending with your family or friends so you will want to remember every moment of it. Also there will be places you encounter that will blow your mind and you would like to frame that in your camera you and take with you. Nothing beats the smile on your face when you scroll down your cherished memories.
Reason #2: Photography makes you more aware of your surroundings.
With the camera in our hand you tend to notice much more because you are always looking for photos.
Where do your eyes go first? Is it blistering the sunlight? Mysterious fog? A particular monument? Whatever it is, just remember, first impressions are invaluable and are not repeatable. You adapt to the rhythm of a place you have selected for travel, and to be more observant. It also helps you things and local people that you encounter. Once you begin looking at things taking into consideration your photography, you see much more of the world than if you are just walking through it.
Reason #2: You will develop a deep love and respect for this nature.
I think, if we take more time and go out there and see the world out of our cities and busy routine we might take this world for granted a little less. In my perspective, if you go out there and fully absorb yourself in the travel place you have selected by photographing it you might realise how many of our protected places are in serious danger of overuse and overconsumption and how important it is to protect it.
To conclude I would like to say that, photography might have been one of the reason why I love to travel because it has made me much more responsible as a human being, in how interact, photograph and play in the places I choose to travel.
My suggestion: On your next trip, take the time to pay attention to your surroundings and you will be rewarded for years to come.
